It was Mummy and Daddys anniversary this week so there were lots of hugs and kisses in our house - of course, we took the lions share of them!  We are loving our hugs and are starting to get very particular about who we give kisses too!

We are getting about at great speed - show us an open gate (especially to the kitchen) and we are out of it! All crawling at the moment - Mummy is trying to get us to balance more on our legs, but we much prefer scooting round by crawling or on our bottoms.  It doesn't mean we aren't fast though!

We had one - yes one - lovely day of weather here in Ireland this week, so we got our first experience of a paddling pool.  Took Daddy ages to fill it, and then when we sat in it we promptly splashed him with all the water!  It was great fun and kept us lovely and cool.

Lets hope we have a bit more summer weather so we can go in it more often!

Here we are again, another glorious summer day in Ireland - or not as the case may be!!

Whatever has happened to the summer?  We were looking forward to some lovely long walks with Mummy only to look out of the window and see a full blown gale and torrential rain!  So much for the amateur weather forecasters telling us we were having a heatwave!  Lets hope it clears up soon so we can work on our tans.....

Anyway this weeks teeth count is 6 each! After a slow start we are popping them out at a great rate - unfortunately there are other not so nice side effects to all this teething, and this involves lots of Nappy changes.  Not very pleasant for Mummy or us - if any one knows any great remedies for nappy rash let us know.

Mummy has been super busy this last week so it was lovely to spend all weekend with her and Daddy - lots of playtime, reading books and trying to escape into the kitchen (us not them!) as we are flying round with our crawling.

Anyway, time for some toast to make use of these teeth!

Yesterday Mummy was reading the recently released Irish baby names for last year.  The top boys names are Jack, Sean, Daniel, James and Conor and the top 5 girls names are Sophie, Emily, Emma, Sarah and Lucy.  The top 100 of each can be found at http://www.cso.ie/releasespublications/documents/births_d_m/current/babynames.pdf

Theres lots of interesting names there - who knows, Mummy might even see a girls name she likes if she thinks of having a little sister for us (and why can we hear Daddy laughing in the kitchen!!!!)

As for us, we have a few more teeth coming through at the top - we have been very good though and not waking during the night, but it is funny to see Mummy and Daddys face when we try testing our new teeth on their fingers!  Don't bite is what they say........

Mummy is busy baking - as well as her nappy cakes she is making little cupcakes made from socks - can't say that they will taste very nice!!!! They do look tasty though.

We haven't had a great week.  After visiting the health centre for our 9 month check up we both came down with nasty coughs and colds. Amazing how you seem to get ill when you go to those places!

We had it so bad that Mummy had to sleep on the floor between our cots as we couldn't breathe properly.  Luckily we managed to pass the germs on to Mummy and Daddy after a couple of days so we feel a bit better now! 

So thats the coughs and colds bit - now for the being bold......!!

Well, we have certainly found our voices. Normally when we are having a mini tantrum and stamping our little feet! And thats just because Mummy won't let us stick our fingers in sockets/throw our dinner everywhere/mess with her Nappy Cakes......

And as for Mummys laptop - well lets just say we could be writing this blog ourselves very shortly if she doesn't move it again!

Happy Friday all! We've been awake since 4.45am - and if we're awake, everyone else had better be awake.
It was a busy day for us yesterday - we had our 9 month developmental check. Why do we have to do the work? Isn't looking cute enough? Anyway, first of all the nurse tried to get us to pick up two small pieces of paper - doesn't she know the only things we like picking up are fluff off the floor? Lovely and tasty it is too!

Then we had a hearing test. Well selective hearing would be more like it, as neither of us would co-operate till one of us left the room. Then amazingly our hearing was perfect! Made Mummy worry a little a first as she thought we had something wrong with our hearing - silly Mummy, we just didn't want to play ball!

We are both doing well with our weight, but Mummy says the scales are wrong (doesn't she always say that :) ) as the nurse said we were putting on a bit too much weight - well, we think there just aren't enough hours in the day to eat all we want..... and besides, with trying to escape from our parents all the time we'll soon work it off!

Well, remember how we eat everything in sight? There is a downside to that - we grow out of our clothes soooo quickly, and another thing that happened was we grew too big for our car seats, that Mummy and Daddy had hoped would last a couple more months.

Don't get us wrong - we absolutely loved our Jane Strata car seats - it was like being in the equivalent of a car seat rolls royce! And in racing red too! But our not so little legs were getting a little cramped, so it was time for our parents to splash the cash and buy two new seats.

Mummy did lots of looking on the internet and read reviews from other parents. In the end we have got Babystart car seats, which are lovely and comfy and we are now facing forward! Its a whole new world when you aren't looking at the back of the car!  Daddy was very impressed with them, and they didn't cost a fortune either (which leaves more money for more food for us!)

So if you are looking for any recommendation for a Group 1 car seat, take it from us you won't go wrong with the Babystart ones! We're off for another little trip in them later....

OK peeps, how early is too early to wake up? Put it this way, Mummy wasn't too impressed when we were both awake at 4.30am this morning (and the last few mornings when it comes to it!)

In our cute little twin talk we tried to explain to her that we were only smacking our toys off the side of the cot and playing 'see who can yell the loudest' but she was having none of it and just gave us our dum-dums and told us to go back to sleep..... As if!   She relented at 6am and we got to go downstairs...... Yippee! Mickey Mouse clubhouse here we come!

We did hear her muttering to Daddy about us having a growth spurt. Probably because we could eat for Ireland at the moment and Mr Grumpy keeps coming to visit us.  Anyway she says if all the websites she is checking are right then it will be back to normal in a few days...........

Electrical wires, Remotes for the TV, Mummys mobile phone and Daddys cup of tea - these are a few of our favourite things!

Well we are coming up to 9 months old now and well, what can we say? All the toys in the world won't amuse us as much as the things we shouldn't have!  No wonder Mummy is dyeing her grey hairs at regular intervals! Our attention span is limited to say the least, and we love to tag team - after all, it's harder to catch us when there are two of us!!
